With talcum-soft sand, blue water, pumping surf breaks and coves framed by ancient rock formations, there is a beach for everyone in Eurobodalla. Between Batemans Bay in the north and Mystery Bay to the south, Eurobodalla has over 100km of pristine coastline where you will want to lay down your beach towel. And you might never lift it up.
Popular beaches near Batemans Bay include Surf Beach, Malua Bay Beach and Broulee Beach. Further south, visit Moruya Beach, Congo and Bingi, and enjoy the walk along the Bingi Dreaming Track.
Tuross Beach and Dalmeny Beach are both surrounded by picturesque lakes and at Narooma Surf Beach you’ll find the ancient Glasshouse Rocks and Pillow Lava rock formations. 1080 Beach near Mystery Bay is a favourite for surfing and fishing.
Many beaches are patrolled by lifesavers, but please check the Beachsafe website for daily updates and information.
Above and below the waterline there is so much to explore in Batemans Marine Park and Sanctuary. The park has 85,000 hectares of estuaries, creeks, rivers and lakes and is home to dolphins, seals, penguins and migrating whales. You can explore it all by kayak or on a diving tour with Region X, Bay and Beyond Sea Kayak Tours and Underwater Safaris. Hang ten with Surf the Bay Surf School, Soulrider Surf School and Broulee Surf School.
If you feel like a walk, at the southern end of Broulee Beach, there is a sandbar to Broulee Island Nature Reserve, the starting point for the 4km Broulee Island Reserve Walk. Discover coastal views, native plants and marine birdlife, and there are excellent spots for rock fishing and a surf break at Pinks Point. For an aerial view of the beach, jump out of a perfectly good airplane with Skydive Oz.
