Yanga was erected circa 1860 and comprises two separate wings, the 'main block' and the 'kitchen block', surrounding a tennis court and several mature trees. On the eastern side of the main block a formal garden stretches down to Yanga Lake, one of two natural lakes on the property fed by the Murrumbidgee water system. At the edge of the Lake in front of the Homestead a walk takes you to a Bird Hide. At the rear of the Homestead is a look-out featuring a large telescope.
Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids)
Have a step free main entrance to the building and/or reception area (includes ramps or slopes with a maximum gradient of 1:14, otherwise are too steep for wheelchairs)
