Sunny Corner State Forest is open to the public for a range of activities including mountain biking, four-wheel driving, and horse riding on access trails and paths. As well as mushroom foraging during the Autumn months. There is also a dedicated recreation area for a free camp.
If you are looking for a great four-wheel-drive adventure, drop into the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre to pick up a copy of their four-wheel driving guide where you can read all about the Sunny Corner Circuit. A round trip from Bathurst going through the Turon State Forest, along with Winburndale Nature Reserve and through Sunny Corner State Forest.
A large portion of the forest is managed by the State Forestry Corporation for pinewood production, so visitors are encouraged to pay attention to any on-site signs indicating road closures or area restrictions. Additionally, visitors should be cautious of logging trucks on the roads and adjust their driving according to the conditions.
