North of Eden is a tiny artisan distillery producing award-winning spirits. Its spirits all feature ingredients that are either grown at the distillery or foraged locally and it is the only distillery in Australia to use locally grown Australian juniper in its core commercial range. It is also the first distillery in the world to win a Gold medal from the International Wine and Spirit Competition for a gin made entirely on locally grown Australian juniper.
Located just 10 minutes north of Bega and nestled in rolling green hills, the distillery is open most weekdays for bottle sales, tastings and a behind-the-scenes look at a small-scale, craft distillery.
The distillery opens its sensational cellar door bar each weekend (October to June). With gorgeous country views and some resident highland cows, visitors can unwind and enjoy flawless cocktails in a beautiful farm setting.
All bar seating is outdoors, but if the weather is fine, there's no better place to be, drinking in those views and watching the cows - cocktail in hand. It's a truly unforgettable and unique destination.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own picnic to enjoy with their drinks, and well-behaved pooches are also welcome.
As a working farm and distillery, this is primarily an 18+ venue. Bookings are recommended and are essential for groups of 5 or more people.
