Follow the Journey | Steam Train Rides Family Fun Day

Follow the Journey when Steam locomotive Perry Returns to service and rides those rusty rails again at the ILRMS Albion Park Rail for everyone to enjoy. Perry that was Tully NO6 was built in South Australia in 1949 was a former locomotive that had worked at Tully Sugar for many years until it was acquired by the museum in 1973, and it went through to be restored and operational in 1987 at the Museum , note Perry operated up until 2015 at Albion Park and was taken out of service but she would wait for the future to arrive.

As part of the next stage of the journey and a trip through time is that the museum was awarded a grant from Transport Heritage NSW to restore Perry’s Boiler and as time moved on is that Perry in 2025 is operating and ready to move onto the future.

As part of a great day, there will be Classic Car Displays from the Jamberoo Valley Classic Vehicles Club, and Vintage Farm Machinery from the Southern Highlands Vintage Fam Group. Explore the Museum and Steam and Miniature Train Rides. Kids Playgrounds. Picnic Shelters. Food and Souvenir sales.
