Tathra has established itself as one of NSW’s premier mountain biking destinations. With almost 50 kilometres of single track, Tathra offers mountain bike trails for all levels of rider from children and beginners up to intermediate and expert riders.

The trails are popular for their unique location along the coast. Trails in the Bundadung network offer plenty of climbing and stunning beach views as riders wind their way through the eucalypts. In contrast, trails on the southern side of Tathra are fun and undulating with challenging sections such as “Humpty Dumpty” and the “Creek Run”. Besides climbs and sweeping descents, all trails include obstacles such as log rollovers, gully drops and rocks to test riders’ mettle.

As well as a stunning coastal single trail, Tathra also offers hundreds of kilometres of coastal fire roads and National Parks which can be easily reached by bike, from the Tathra township. National Park Trails running south include Boulder Bay, White Rock and Games Bay, whilst to the north cyclists can access Ford’s Farm, Moon Bay and Nelson’s Beach in the Mimosa Rocks National Park.

The town has also recently unveiled a new Mountain Bike Skills Park at the Tathra Country Club. The Mountain Bike Park aims to engage children and improve the riding skills of all cyclists in a safe and easily supervised arena.
