A practising sculptor for the past 35 years, Phil has a broad professional arts practice, actively engaged in regional, national and international exhibitions.

Creating vibrantly coloured sculptures, Phil’s work is recognised for its luminosity, depth and stunning silhouettes in the landscape. His works are abstract constructions where elements balance, tumble and float, creating positive and negative compositions of space, light and shade.

Spelman’s sculptures are held in many public, private and corporate collections, nationally and internationally.

Sevenmarks Gallery is a regional not-for-profit contemporary art space dedicated to delivering compelling art. The Gallery promotes established and emerging artists and is bridging the gap between regional and metropolitan art experiences, through creating accessible opportunities for artists and audiences.
