The Yila Healing Trail is an afternoon event starting with a welcoming ceremony, inviting all to join the next ten days of cultural connection and healing.

Located in Paringa Park, Nowra, near the culturally significant Cullunghutti Mountain and part of the Dreaming Tracks, this event features a Corroboree where freshwater and saltwater songlines unite, symbolising the deep connection to Gupoo Ngullie—bubbly water.

Walk through the Smoking Ceremony and join a Welcome to Country with Elders Aunty Ruth Simms, Aunty Margaret Samoes, Uncle Sonny Simms, and Uncle Paul Mcleod. Relax and enjoy the sound of the didgeridoo with David Little, reconnecting with Country before the evening unfolds.

Mudjingaal Yangamba, a local Elder, and a women's choir will sing in Dharawal and Dhurga, revitalizing culture and bringing Country alive.

Local Aboriginal community members are invited to enjoy a free dinner from three delicious food trucks—just let them know when booking. Please note, this is an alcohol-free event.

The evening will feature performances by Àine Tyrrell and Ash Mac, with MC Joe Brown McLeod introducing dancers from the southeast coast and the Doonoooch Dancers, including Gumaraa and Warren Ngarrae Foster.

This Corroboree celebrates the truth that this land Always was, Always is, and Always will be Aboriginal Land, honoring Elders past and present, and carrying traditions into the future.

Does not cater for people with access needs.
