McDonald Jones Stadium is a rectangular multi-purpose outdoor stadium with a capacity of up to 30,000 and is the home ground to the Newcastle Knights and the Newcastle Jets. In addition to hosting national and Interntional sport the venue also regularly hosts tother major events such as the FOX Australia Supercross Triple Crown, Nitro Circus and Freestyle Kings.
As of January 2023, Mcdonald Jones Stadium began hosting live music concerts, welcoming superstars Elton John, Paul McCartney and P!NK to the Hunter to play to sellout crowds.
