The Golden Dog Hotel in Glenreagh isn't just home to The Big Golden Dog- one of Australia's biggest things, it's also a very special little country pub!
Situated on 2.5 acres on the banks of the Orara River, you'll often find locals pulling up on horseback and tying off on the post and rail fence before enjoying a cold drink and a great value bistro meal.
There is a great covered outdoor dining area overlooking a huge green space, plus kids' playground, perfect for the kids to run around while taking in the relaxing picturesque view of the Glenreagh escarpment.
Warmly welcoming visitors, you will almost always be guaranteed a friendly yarn with one of the locals.
It’s the perfect place to stop for a beer and bite on your way north or south on the Orara Way, or a Sunday lunch and country drive.
