It's time to celebrate everything purple and enjoy a day of craziness and entertainment.
Jacaranda Thursday will begin with Clarence Independent breakfast in Market Square. Be there early to avoid the queues. Market stalls will open in Prince, Pound and Fitzroy Streets early and the town will come alive with three stages of entertainment throughout the day.
Businesses will be dressed up to take out the Rose Bowl trophy and practising their skits to head down to Market Square to compete for the Silver and Gold cups at lunchtime.
Ensure to head to the Clarence River end of Prince Street to catch regular performances by Clarence Valley Council, Livable and Dougherty Property. Then to the road closure at the corner of Fitzroy Street and Queen Street to catch performances by Westlawn and Caringa.
