NAIDOC Week is a special time to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements and is an opportunity to recognise the contributions Indigenous Australians make to our country and society.

Start the week with the Annual Celebration Walk. The walk starts from the Ballina RSL Club and proceeds along River Street then Cherry Street to the Ballina Indoor Sports Centre (BISC) for the official flag raising ceremony.

Refreshments, BBQ, displays and games in the BISC with morning tea provided for community Elders.

The week will then continue with various events happening each day.
