The land Grant for Peacock Hill dates back to the 1840s. Orginally farmland, it is now one of the Hunter's most picturesque boutique vineyards with shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc vines planted circa 1968, chardonnay planted circa 1984, and more shiraz planted in 1995.
A very run down property in 1995 (when purchased by George and Silvi), the vines have been rejuvenated, and new trellis and in-line drip irrigation has been installed. All wines are handcrafted and where used, only superior quality French and American oak barrels are purchased. The reputation of Peacock Hill is in each bottle. Wines are suitable for both casual and formal dining!
