The Light Horse Hotel is the oldest trading hotel in the Twin Towns of Murrumburrah-Harden. First built in 1861 to Victorian tradition with small refurbish maintaining her until Karen Kemp and Rhys Gray undertook a major refurbishment in October 2018 bringing her into the 20th Century.

It was named to commemorate the birthplace of the First Australian Light Horse at Murrumburrah. The picture rails within the hotel now feature historic events captured by lens outlining memorable events in WWI and WWII.

It has been lovingly restored to retain its original features such as the high ornate ceilings, the beautiful brickwork has been exposed in the main bar and the gin and whisky rooms. Hidden fireplaces have been uncovered and found beautiful floorboards once hidden away under heavy carpet.

Three bathrooms and twelve guests rooms have been upgraded upstairs to cater for guests staying in the hotel. The restoration has showcased the Victorian heritage of the building with the fit out reminiscent of the era but with a contemporary-styled edge.
