This is a relaxed and social workshop designed to suit complete beginners who want to develop a regular nature art practice and more experienced journalers who might be looking to expand their technical skills.
Students will learn about the materials available, as well as some useful drawing and watercolour techniques. They will also be able to try coloured pencils, ink pens and acrylic inks. If you've always wanted to learn to paint native flowers, butterflies, birds or even landscapes, this workshop will be a great place to start your journey.
All materials will be supplied, but if you have any art supplies you have been wanting to try, this is the perfect place to bring them along and play. Come along and spend a few hours learning a new skill and discovering a wonderful way of enjoying nature and creative company.
This is a self-contained workshop that will get you started journaling the natural world around you, but it will also hopefully be the beginning of a more dedicated nature journaling group meeting on a monthly basis throughout the year.
