Berrigan is a quiet traditional country town located 690 kilometres south-west of Sydney. The town is developing, and eclectic group of second-hand shops and galleries and it is really worth a stroll and a browse. The town has a strong interest in horse training and horseracing, and this is showcased at the annual Berrigan Gold Cup run. Play a round of golf or enjoy the annual District Show held every October.
On the road between Berrigan and Barooga is The Drop where the Mulwala Canal crosses the road. Part of a large water flow control system that allows water to divert from Mulwala Canal into Berrigan Channel is worth visiting.
