Three Well Known Australians

Anyone who views the painting is welcome to guess who they think the three Australians in the painting are and submit their ideas at the exhibition.

"Three Well Known Australians" has been touring the country since 1983. People use their imagination and write their predictions. Responses are collated into yearbooks, which travel and are exhibited alongside the artwork.

The exhibition includes letters about the painting written by many well known Australians such as Prime Ministers and also a Melbourne tram driver.

Visit the exhibition between 28 March and 27 April, 2025 to speculate on the identity of the subjects, share your thoughts and view the guesses from previous years in yearbooks which have become a social commentary of the time.

The Foundry Arts Space promotes the arts in the Echuca Moama region. It is a community gallery so this exhibition and shop is run by members, friends and volunteers of The Foundry Arts Space.
