Legendary Gomeroi songman and storyteller AKA the Koori King of Country Roger Knox has revealed the release of new single ‘Black Tear Tracks’ on 17 January, ahead of his appearances at Tamworth Country Music Festival and Survival Day 2025. Originally written in 2015, Roger and his band have been performing ‘Black Tear Tracks’ live for several years now, and the celebrated release of this recording has been long-awaited by his loyal fans. This will be a landmark occasion for Uncle Roger, being the first original song he has ever released.
‘Black Tear Tracks’ is the first taste from Roger Knox’s forthcoming sixth studio album to be released later in 2025. A milestone release, the ‘Buluunarbi and The Old North Star’ album will be his first album containing original material.
