Bland shire Council has transformed its upstairs foyer into an open art gallery for local and regional artists to showcase their work seven days a week.
Artists are invited to submit artworks no smaller than A4 size and no larger than 600mm (height) by 1000mm and either framed or on stretch canvas ready for hanging. If you would like to display and sell your own artwork, information is available by phoning the number provided or calling in to Council’s Shire Street offices.
The first artworks were hung on Monday 15 March with an official opening on Tuesday 16 2021.
In a further effort to assist the local arts community, exhibited items are listed for sale through the exhibition at a price set by the artist and released to the buyer at the conclusion of each exhibition or by special request. Further exhibitions will continue to be conducted.
The open art gallery will provide public access seven days a week during the normal operating hours of the Bland Shire Visitor Information Centre and accessed via the staircase in the Council foyer during the week or via the lift on weekends.
For more information about the open art gallery please contact Marina Uys on the phone number provided or by email.
