Begin with an introduction to the traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony. This traditional practice is a symbol of harmony, respect, purity, and tranquillity, reflecting the values that underpin both Japanese culture and the art of bonsai. The ceremony provides a moment of mindfulness and appreciation, preparing participants to engage fully in the bonsai experience. After the tea ceremony, we’ll move to the bonsai preparation stations, where everyone will listen, learn, and craft their very own ‘Mr. Miyagi’s (Karate Kid-style!) bonsai to take home.
