The Museum focuses on a large area, it extends and encompasses the villages of Ardlethan, Moombooldool, Beckom, Kamarah and the pastoral areas Cowabbie, Kildary, Wallaroobie, Warri, Bygoo, Yalgogrin, Bolero, Ariah, Yarranjerry and Murrell Creek.

The variety of collections and exhibits showcase the growth over the last 150 years from farming, mining, businesses, sports, committees, home life and unique personalities.

Setting up the Museum has been a community-based project, with past and present members of this community working together to display the journey from the early days till now.

Ardlethan and Beyond Museum is the result of community fundraising, grants from State and Federal Government as well as assistance from Coolamon Shire Council. The building commenced in April 2020 and was completed in August 2021. The naming was put out to the community with the final vote being Ardlethan and Beyond.
