Motivated by her own practice of creating art inspired by local Orange region landscapes, Curator and Gallery Director Madeline Young is seeking to explore and celebrate the regions and landscapes that inspire other artists across Australia. The bi-annual Corner Store Gallery Regional Landscape Prize aims to foster established and emerging creative talent in regional Australia, and will showcase regional, rural and outback Australia in all its brilliant and beautiful glory.

Artists are invited to submit one landscape artwork of any medium (video excluded) to be judged by a panel of experts. This competition is open to emerging and established artists living in regional, rural and outback Australia. Artworks submitted may depict any type of landscape, for example traditional, rural, abstract, suburban, imagined etc. There is a size limit of 80cm in any direction.

Their definition of “regional Australia” includes all areas outside of capital cities in every state and territory. If you live in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin or Hobart you are NOT eligible.

If your artwork is chosen as a finalist, it will then be judged by our panel of experts and the winners will be announced on Opening Night.
