Black Snake Distillery is a small-batch distillery creating the unique Australian Agave Spirit in the style of mezcal.
Production is guided by Mexican tradition but has an Australian accent. Rosemary and Stephen are the entire team who harvest, cook, ferment, distil and bottle this amazing product. Of international fame is the Pechuga which is a special product distilled a third time with a special recipe of fruits, nuts, rice and spices. Traditionally a chicken or turkey breast is suspended over the distillate and the vapours cook it adding flavours. They have added an Australian accent to this Mexican tradition by using kangaroo.
Cellar door operations allow the visitor to try this great drink and learn a little of both the process and the history of agave spirits.
Black Snake Distillery also operates off the grid with solar power and aims to limit environmental impacts.
