Inverell celebrates Australia Day at Victoria Park.
Entry to Victoria Park is free and for a gold coin donation, you can start your day with a delicious barbecue breakfast supplied by Macintyre Lions Club, and entertainment by Sapphire City Concert Band.
The official ceremony commences at 8.15 am with speeches, an award presentation for Young Citizen and Citizen of the Year, performances by the Inverell Singers & Danthonia Youth Choir, Flag Raising Ceremony and Laying of the Citizen of the Year Paver. The National Anthem will be performed by the Inverell Singers.
The 2025, Australia Day Ambassador, who will deliver an Australia Day address and assist in the awards presentation is Ms Jane Rutter Chevaliere de L'Ordre des Arts et Lettres, an internationally renowned flautist.
