Located at the Cowra Visitor Information Centre, this 9 minute presentation brings the tragic events of The Cowra Breakout to life through the eyes of Claire, a young Cowra local. The famous POW Hologram Theatre is the best place to start your historical journey through the Cowra region.
The Theatre is a small tin hut that is a replica of the Nissen huts found at the Cowra Prisoner of War Camp during World War II.
The Hologram is a young woman who tells the story from a local perspective while interacting with original artefacts from the Camp. The presentation is aimed at raising awareness of the historical significance of Cowra in modern military history and in encouraging visitation to other local attractions and locations of historical importance.
The Cowra P.O.W Hologram is a free theatre and continues to be as popular as ever with the 60,000 plus visitors the friendly team at the Cowra Visitor Information Centre welcome each year.
