Head to the Blue Mountains National Park and take on the Furber Steps-Scenic Railway Walking Track. Descend down the steep Furber Steps and discover scenic views, waterfalls, birdwatching and more in astonishing Blue Mountains surrounds. The 2.4 kilometre return track takes around two hours to complete and traverses lush rainforest.
The popular walking track goes deep into the Jamison Valley, offering great views of Mount Solitary, amazing views of Three Sisters overlooking the Kedumba Valley at Vaniman’s Lookout and Juliet’s Balcony, as well as a chance to get up close to the beautiful natural attraction that is the cascading waters of Katoomba Falls.
Visitors can also take the opportunity to ride the Scenic Railway or Scenic Cableway back to the top, enjoying awe-inspiring views of the valley below. Plan your walk to ensure you can make it before the last train leaves. Those taking on the track should take note that the walking track is listed as Grade Three in difficulty, with some bushwalking experience recommended.
