More than 100 dolphins live in the pristine blue waters of the Port Stephens – Great Lakes Marine Park. Hire bikes and cycle the picturesque waterfront. The Bartlett cycleway is a 14-minute ride one-way from pretty Bagnalls Beach to Little Beach Reserve , near the heritage-listed Nelson Head Lighthouse, built in 1872.

Nelson Bay is conveniently located just a 2.45-hour drive north of Sydney, making it an accessible getaway for travellers. Alternatively, visitors can fly into Newcastle Airport, which is approximately a 30-minute drive from Nelson Bay.
